Post exenteration surgery rehabilitation with orbital prosthesis – A case report

Orbital defects with total loss of eyelids and the eyeball cannot be satisfactorily repaired by reconstructive surgery. Therefore, a prosthetic placement is treatment choice to return individual’s confidence producing an acceptable lifelike appearance. Male patient, 31 years old, came history exenteration surgery four months ago on right eye because infection few before. Patient wanted orbital prosthesis improve esthetic self-confidence. He lost his ball some part eyelid. Treatment that would fabricated was medical adhesive retention support. one alternative can chose reconstruct defect. The success determined exactness diagnosis, plan determination, material selection, determination retention, technique in processing prosthesis.
